Bella walked out to her front porch with her dog. "Let's go, Rover! It's time for your walk," she exclaimed. Rover immediately came out and brushed his warm, furry head against her leg. "Wait, Bella!" her mom called, "Take these homemade treats I made for Rover a few hours ago. It's a new batch." Bella took the bag from her mom and set out toward the brown hills in front of her house. It was a windy day. She could smell the honey-sweet air as her hair brushed over her face. She walked up the brown hill. Bella was sitting on the ground, watching Rover run around when the wind's strength picked up, nearly like a hurricane. Then Bella saw something on the top of the hill. She squinted as she couldn't see through leaves falling on her eyes. On the top of the hill, Bella saw wind whirling in circles...

A woman with no boundaries... who is this woman? Who breaks the glass ceiling much like a man. This woman was not known for her work...she is a woman known for her strength. She was strong, daring, smart, and "one in a million." She is known in many history books. Born a peasant girl in a village in France, she was a visionary. She first saw visions of gods and saints saying that she should live a good and modest life. Then, she saw these visions more often. These visions were about the English coming to destroy her village. She ran away with her family and neighbors. Then the visions told her to work for the French dauphin (prince to soon become king). She came to the French court after more than 300 miles of walking and immediately recognized the dauphin (who was disguised). She soon became the first French female army general. A few years later...she was trialed for heresy and wearing men's clothes. The judges finally decided to burn her. Her last words were, "I...
